Regular Wits Courses

Participants in the International Human Rights Exchange (IHRE) program are encouraged to consider enrolling in a regular course at the University of the Witwatersrand. In such cases, students will take 12 credits of coursework within the IHRE program combined with a semester-long, regular Wits course for 4 credits, for a total 16 credits.
In general, students may choose from any 1st year offering in the Humanities. Students may also be able to enroll in certain upper level courses. Participants must first meet the stated course pre-requisites and obtain advance approval through the IHRE office.
Students interested in taking a regular course at Witsare strongly encouraged to contact us in advance of applying to the program to find out more about course options.
