Tuition & Scholarships

Information for Students from North American Institutions
Bard works closely with study abroad staff at the student's home institution to ensure that, whenever possible, financial aid packages (including federal and state scholarships) may be applied to IHRE tuition and fees. IHRE also encourages students to speak with the study abroad and financial aid offices at their home institution to find out about potential scholarships, grants, and loans which may help cover the cost of participating in IHRE.
Additionally, students from North American institutions may be eligible for need-based scholarships directly from the Institute for International Liberal Education at Bard College. Students must apply for a scholarship at the time they apply to the program.

In order to formally enroll in the IHRE program, students are required to pay $1,000 non-refundable deposit to Bard. This deposit will be applied towards the total tuition cost only. Students typically have about 2 weeks from the time the are accepted into the program until the date that this non-refundable deposit is due.
