Life at Wits

All IHRE students are directly enrolled at the University of the Witwatersrand and enjoy the services and amenities provided to the Wits student body.  Wits has many of the same services, activities and opportunities provided colleges and universities in North America, including:

• A comprehensive library system
• A student union, called the Matrix, complete with a cafeteria, eateries, ATM machines, printing and photocopying services, and a convenience store
• Recreational sports facilities and select intramural sports clubs
• A diverse offering of student-run clubs and societies
• Scheduled shuttle buses to shopping centers
• Wits Counseling & Careers Unit
• Wits Disabilities Center
• Campus Health and Wellness Centre
• The Wits Writing Centre
• Wits Theatre
• 14 museums and two art galleries, containing collections of rare art and South African cultural heritage
